This isn't my first short, but it's my first shooting with DSLR and HD in general. I would appreciate any feedback/critics :)

This was shot in 7D with Zeiss 50mm and Canon EF 35mm lens

It was just slow, pretty boring for the most part. It needs a lot more to really have any emotional connection. But I think that was mostly due to the voice overs being mono tone, and expressionless. The score was fine for the intro, but after five minutes of it, it became somewhat annoying.

Your framing was good, there were a few nice subttle rack focuses that worked well. The audio was pretty good to. You could have used some lighting to create a more dramatic feel. Dont get me wrong, I thought the production value was decent. It was just the story was lacking in so many ways. overall it was pretty good. your next will be even better, i guarantee it.:)

Trim this thin down to 2:30 secs. I would cut out some time in between each narration. It will have more impact. I have an audio background, I think the voice over's need some EQ. I would cut out about 4 db around 250hz and put a hi shelving eq on starting at 9khz. It will make the vocals more intelligible. Right now, they are a bit muffled sounding. overall good job though.

Looking past the technical aspects of this film I loved the feel of it. Being slow added to the atmospherics of it all. I especialy liked the first 30 secs.
