I've offloaded my P2 card is there away of doing a 'select all' then delete? Yes I know that I can format the card but that wipes the timecode. It aint fun having to do the 2 finger shuffle to delete 40 odd clips!

Also quickly if you use 2 P2 cards do you have to offload them seperately to the desktop (powerbook) or will it do it all in 1 offload if you see what I mean!
Cheers

To answer the first question, i beleive you can highlight clips , like you would pictures in your cell phone, and then erase selected. I dont have an answer for the 2nd one.

Thanks Cynic821, thats curently what I'm doing but having to do the finger shuffle to select 40 odd clips is a PITA.... was hoping that there was 'select all' option hidden somewhere!

I just messed with the menus looking for it, and if there is a select all, i dont know where it is :(

If you are using the P2 Viewer you can click Edit> Select All, then hit your Delete button. Or you can highlight one clip and do the Ctl+A thing then hit the Delete button.

Surely the 'select all' option should be put into the HVX revison!

Never put a sad face next to the term "I'm on a Mac"

that just doesnt make sense.

Should be "I'm on a Mac :) :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) :love4:     :cheesy: "

Ok, number one, not sure, never had to do that.

Number two, they will show up as 2 seperate hard drives on your Mac desktop. So you'll have to do two seperate transfers. I find transfer times from my FS-100 very fast. I find the P2 cards are a bit slower, but still not too time consuming. Depends on the Mac you're using. Not all Mac models use the same FW buss hardware. Bascially, from P2 card inside the HVX200, it's just like a hard drive to hard drive, drag and drop, transfer of the LASTCLIP.TXT file and the CONTENTS folder.

Its strange, when I first got the HVX the P2 cards transfered from the camera to my 17" powerbooks desktop in what seemed to be the time everyone else seemed to be saying i.e. about 6 minutes for a 4Gb card. NOW though it starts off at about 18 minutes then goes down to around 8 minutes with a total offload time of around 10 minutes. There is nothing else linked to the Powerbook and there's around 25GB of free space on the 100Gb HDD

Any ideas? I've tried a real short FW cable no change!
