I've been playing with the new Technicolor CineStyle picture style recently, and the results are very exciting.
On the Technicolor site, they recommend that people only use the "clean" ISO settings of 160, 320, 640, etc. I have a T2i, so it doesn't do these ISO settings natively.
Currently I don't run Magic Lantern, and I've never tried it. I've avoided it thus far because I wanted to keep my camera setup as simple and reliable as possible.
Is there anyone out there with a T2i, Magic Lantern, and the Technicolor CineStyle picture style that could comment (or post footage) about the actual differences between the clean and standard ISO settings on this camera using this picture style?
I know all of the theory, and I've seen the lens cap tests on the 7D. But what I'm still really wondering is how much noise I could really expect to cut out by using the clean ISOs in real shots, and would it be worth installing and dealing with Magic Lantern just for that? Is it really worth it?
Thanks!
