Hello,
I just joined this Forum. It looks very good. My name is Dorian and I live in Tokyo. I got to this forum through the DVi where I joined about 2 weeks ago...but I think, they don't like me...I can not post a new thread..not authorized, then I sent an email to Chris and ask him how I can post a question...he never replied to me.
So this forum seems to be more user friendly.
Part of my questions were answered already reading this posts, but I still have 1: (I have not bought the camera yet, but I am planning to do in hopefully by end of next week) data storage will be a problem for me since I want to shoot highes quality possible. I will buy a firestore, but even that might not be enough storage. I heard, that I can connect the fire store as a pass through to an external hard drive and record onto that drive. Can anybody confirm that? Or is it possible to exchange the hard disk of the Fire store with an other empty hard disk? Notebook is out of question.

You can daisy chain two Firestore FS-100 together, but not use a pass through as you described.

I'm not sure I understand your question... Is this because you require long takes? or you mean storage as in for post-production/archivage?

before making any quick decisions check out the price of p2 cards.. the 16gb card has come down in price

However, 16 Gb card are no where is sight with first shipments apparently in any quantity not expect until July

Jan's post in the general discussion on Sunday.

Not promising at all. I got a preorder from one of the shops for the "first" shipments, i hope I end up get one. (but probably wont) I haven't bought the HVX200 yet, because I have no P2 card to shoot with.

just as a side note i had the same problem with the DVi forum. and after about 4 emails for help. i just gave up.
