A movie shot on D810

I believe the D810 is tops in the Nikon chain for video resolution and has impressive dynamic range. The footage isn't as nice as what I've seen from cameras with more bit depth though - FS700 12 bit raw, REDs, F5, even the Blackmagic cameras. Still, I'm thinking of buying one for a good 1080p / Full frame and Stills camera. It's a formidable camera.

I like a lot the black magic camera image look. But the Sony's in general and the FS700 if it is not some sort of slowmotion has problem in Sony Colour science (Green Magenta bias) and motion cadence. Everything from the FS700 that I have seen looks very video. Now I did not see much of F5 video to judge and RED is sometime good and lot of time not that good. Again a camera that has had a lot of criticism or its colour science.

I think the D810 is the best camera for people caring about stills above all, but also a lot about video. Quite strong contender. The most surprising thing here is how fast they got to using it!
