A little sad; just packed up my T2i to sell

Personally I would never use the Kit lens if I had too, especially when you have used better glass. The 50mm prime lens delivers a beautiful image. I lately have been using a Canon 24mm which is another amazing lens. The kit lens imo is only good when you have a lot of light or for when it's sunny outside. I usually put the shutter up into the 500 area though just to make the lens look better while shooting. The egyptians built the pyramids with whatever old technology they had, Im more than sure at this day and age things would have been done better. Sure you can make the greatest movie on a dvx or kit lens, but that doesn't mean that they are not better tools for the job.

Honestly...ALL these camera are darn good..if someone cant make something beautiful from them then thats their own doing...not the camera.

I get all that about lens doesn't matter movies can be made with Kit lenses, blah blah blah.

We're here to talk technically, if not go to the directing forum.

I have an idea, why don't we start a new forum. Instead of adding 7d/550D/T2i, we can call it -----"Great things can be made with any camera"!!

Then it could all be theory!

lol...well my statement was particularly directed at Snapper...cuz he's ALWAYS complaining about his t2i....i duno why he doesnt just ditch it and be done, since its soooo horrible. the rest of us can keep shooting with them, or in my case the 7d

LOL- well, according to Snapper, the 60D takes better quality images than your 7D. So you're just wasting your time, clearly. Because so far everything else he said made perfect sense and was rational and logical.

You know really, unless you're dealing with a 60D, every Canon camera out there is worse in almost all ways

on a serious level though I would really like to know what he thinks looks so much better on the 60D as opposed to the other canons...cuz to my knowledge all of them( t2i/t3i, 7d,60d ) except for maybe the 5d look pretty damn close if not indestinguishable.

There isn't any difference in the quality outputted from them. Other than the ISOs from the T2i/T3i are not intermediate--except though ML with the T2i.
