*A GAME* Name that movie (based on a still)

That bonus pic is from "The Cook the Theif his wife and her lover" if I'm not mistaken,
so the director would be Peter Greenaway.

Unfortunately I haven't seen any of his other movies.

YES Peter Greenaway!

So, with that I'm going to give it away and let you take the helm! ;-)

...and the other two films are:

'Drowning By Numbers'

and

'Prospero's Books'

I guess Greenaway's stuff is not for everyone (dark, dense, and twisted), and admittedly I've only seen a handful, and they were definitely not boring!

How about a pic of this thread having it's most colorfull moment? :cheesy:

EDIT: ..now it's gone.

"Damn dudes; stop posting obscure art house cinema"

I know!! I'm the one who said not to be too obscure and then there I go posting the weird stuff! I'll bet I've seen all three of those but only #2 looks familiar.

Man I have been waiting for someone to post some war movies and I dont recognize these. I think the only one I knew out of this whole thread was the great escape.
The first one is vietnam era, thats all I can tell... I usually watch wwii movies...
I have really started to wonder about all the movies being posted on here. I not only dont recognize them but I have never heard of them either.
Have I just watched too many reruns of seinfeld and simpsons while the rest of you were watching every movie ever made?
I was hoping people were going to be posting "regular" movies.. like ones that came out in the theater within the last 30 years..

I have seen most of that movie.. I watched it before I became interested in WWII and I slept through most of it thus not remembering it too well. but I have seen most of it and have certainly heard of it. :) :)

no windtalkers was a wwii movie.. #1 has vietnam war camoflauge on his helmet and vietnam helmet straps..
