I've browsed through a few pages of this topic and I could identify like 2 of the 30 or so stills I saw, haha. This one looks familiar, but I don't feel like it's anything I've seen start-to-finish.

It's a British movie from the 40's... and this character undergoes a mental (and physical transformation - of sorts). Not a horror though..,

Was it the pic or the last clue that gave it away?
Anyway, if people haven't seen this movie I recommend they try and find it... it's an amazing lighting/cinematography job by Jack Cardiff. Saw it when I was young - coming off stuff like Star Wars and then caught this on the TV and it opened up the artistic/dramatic possibilities of film in my young mind

Oh, I didn't even notice the other ones. I would have gotten it from those, too. Eric Braeden didn't do that many movies, so it's either that or Escape from the Planet of the Apes.
