*A GAME* Name that movie (based on a still)

I would, but my server is unable to serv the pics in the forum because there is an anti-steal lynch on... so if you do not mind clicking on a link...

[Shawn Murphy]

you can post the pics on stickypod:

http://www.stickypod.com/stickypod_upload/index.php

and when I have problems actually saving a pic from a site, I just do a 'print screen' and pull the pic from the grab and save it off that way.

the same actress plays in these films.
I think they are very easy, so the pics are smaller, in order to make your job more difficult!

ps. thank you for that link!

The third one is "Lost in Translation"

PS - I think we need a new game. This one's faded away...

I guess I'm biased because I started this one and admittedly I still like it even if it the holidays have caused a lull, however, if you have an idea for a different game I'd be "game" for something new for sure! ;-)

Actually, an idea I had for the lighting forum was to post pics from scenes that had interesting or unusual lighting and then to get comments/theories as to the how the scene was lit... not quite a game though.

I think maybe more "mainstream" movies in the mix here would help too.. there have been a lot of, umm, obscure? ones. I haven't been able to guess very many, and actually havent heard of most of them!

Yeah, most of the ones I throw up have been guessed almost immediately, though I have thrown a few lesser known challenges into the mix, but even though I think I'm fairly "film literate" I'm amazed at how few I've been able to guess! ;-)

[surf]

that's it!

[surf]

a kind of game. someone posts a picture from a film, TVshow, MusicVideo or just a photo of him, and the others have to tell, when that picture was taken. and they have to prove, why do they say that year. ie quality, style, clothes...

what do you think?

[NO CA$H]

That sounds too hard

[NO CA$H]

We should do a game with catergories like, specific directors or maybe even producers.

[Shawn Murphy]

Well, while you guys ponder other games, I'm gonna post some to satisfy my picture posting compulsion! Have fun, should be VERY easy. ;-)
