Reviving this thread a little here... will be posting up some new stuff within the next several days. We have wrapped post-production with some great sound work by DVXuser Ryan J. Frias, and we're going to begin our festival run! The first one out of the gates if the AOF Film Festival in Pasadena, CA coming up at the end of this month! More information on dates/times will be coming shortly!
Hello everyone! Just wanted to announce that A Dim Light will be making it’s WORLD PREMIERE at the Action on Film Festival in Pasadena, CA (http://www.aoffest.com)
I’ll post the times, etc. for the show here when I receive it, and let you know if we’re nominated for any awards!
We’re also submitting ADL to the following festivals
Cinema City International Film Festival
Santa Clarita Valley Film Festival
High Desert Shorts International Film Festival
Hollywood Film Festival
Zero Film Festival
I will let you know when we hear back from these various festivals, and also let you know as we submit to more.
We’re hoping to get some good buzz about the film, as I begin working on a feature script based on the short.
New short film from Brandon Rice makes its World Premiere!
In a future where beliefs are outlawed and free thinking condemned, Joseph Baros has chosen to take a stand. But at what cost?
Coming off the heels of the feature film, NO GREATER LOVE, being distributed domestically by LIONSGATE, Brandon Rice (story writer/associate producer) has set his sights on another story he wants to tell. A DIM LIGHT is a six-minute short film that Brandon co-wrote and directed in the spring of 2009. “This is a snapshot of a larger world I want to explore,” remarks Rice. A DIM LIGHT explores the near future, in a world where government control is rampant, freedom of thought and faith has been denied. A DIM LIGHT makes its world premiere at the AOF Festival in Pasadena, California on Wednesday, July 29 at 8:30pm, and since its completion has been invited to several more festivals in the coming months.
A Dim Light was accepted into the fourth annual High Desert Shorts International Film Festival in Pahrump, Nevada! I was able to attend last year, and it was a fun festival!
As requested by the filmmaker, F.E.D. has watched and reviewed "A Dim Light," a review which became more an examination of faith-focused films than just a review.
