A Day at Big Bear

This is shot completely hand held, pretty much point and shoot. On some of the longer shots there was some vibration so I tried to use SmoothCam in FCP, those are the shots that looked a little like Jello.

The low light capability of this camera is very good. I shot some of the scenes in the bowling alley thinking there was no way they would come out.

I saw this last night while browsing on Vimeo. I do have a question, why are the black levels so light?

That's interesting. I'm on a Mac running Leopard, if I just hit the space bar the image looks good, if I open it in Quicktime it looks very contrasty.

I calibrated a Plasma to bars using an MXO2 and use that for color correcting. When compared to Blu-ray on a different plasma they are almost identical.

When I play it back from Vimeo it look as it should. Are you viewing on a Mac or PC? If on a Mac try "checking" the "Enable Final Cut Studio color compatibility" button in the Quicktime Preferences and see if that makes a difference.
