A customize Full Rig

man charles, thats some damn nice work, ive been tweeking an arm and vest for a few years .
the snow board binding straps work well on the vest, i used some R.E.I backpack pads for my
shoulder straps then some customized alluminum for the support of the vest . theres a place in Austrailia that sells adjustable arms and there real quality , used for around 4000usd
your sled looks like some hard work, did you use modified parts?

I too agree that Bindings are the way to go. It makes adjustments on the vest so much easier and exact. Glad you like the sled. The sled was built from the ground up. The only commercial parts I used on the sled are:

1. The Steadicam Archer Camera stage
2. MK-v Dual battery Anton Battery mount
3. Steadicam EFP Gimbal with the MK-v knurl grip.

The rest were machined and/or water cut. The electronics were don by my electronic guy. It took some time because We had to know how the top board electronics were connected, without having a circuit board drawing off the Tiffen board, it took some time. But it became easier. The rig was built to be able to be modified with different configurations. I like that. Possibilities is a big thing for me. :)

I had the EFP vest but noticed both spars were broken when the top breast plate was removed. So I decided I would make a new breast plate with thicker material. I got the best of myself and just redesign a new vest using the EFP parts as a guide.

Just made a simple cage yesterday. Nothing fancy. The cage can be use as is or both top and bottom plates can be bolted together under the camera as so choose. The weight of the plates add up to around 6kg. A little more with the 4 12mm threaded rods. It is also possible to add one more plate as the distance of inside of the plates are about 13inches.

Testing the rig in free flying mode. I havea shoot very soon. I will have someone take some shots of me all suit up.

No big camera yet. I had flown this rig for the first time with a 7D camera on a shoot on the 1st of march. I had to use a cage to get the weight i needed. :)
I will back on set in may to continue with other scenes.

Been experimenting with different modifications. As you all know, I like variations, so here they are. To add to the other modes I already I have..
