A couple of questions.

Hello everyone!

I have a couple of questions:

1) Is there a big diff. between HVX200 A and HVX200 P? is the P the latest model?

and

2) After using P2cms to offload footage on my mac, and I eject the mount, is it safe to simply turn the camera off even though it says "1394 Disconnect" or do I have to do something else before I turn it off?


To expand on the second question, I have tried to see if I can switch back to shooting mode by pressing the button to make it go to Camera or even MCR/VCR, but it just stays in PC/Dub mode.

The AG-HVX200A was released in late May 2008 with improved CCDs and an adjusted lens.

HVX200P = NTSC. It doesn't matter what B&H or anyone else says; the model number for the HVX200 in America is HVX200P.

HVX200E = PAL/Europe.

HVX202EN = PAL/Oceania/Asia. Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, etc.

They are the same cam.

Second question, always write protect the card before mounting it on your Mac.

Eject the card, wait for the 1394 Disconnect screen appears. Then turn off your cam, and then disconnect it from the Mac.
