Hi all, well after much reading and research I am awaiting my new 160A to be delivered to New Zealand. I have been a Sony user for years but the draw of the Pannys- --I looked at the Sony nx5 and the fs100. Then I looked at the Panny af102 and the 160A with the mods and uppdates. The AF102 will be added at a later date, but now , I await the 160A. Just wanted to say hi!

Hey Rod

Greetings to our Kiwi friends from Australia!! You should enjoy the 160 a lot...really nice image and despite being tempted now and again to gravitate towards an EX3 (I like cams that can be shoulder mounted) my current rig and loupe on my 130's do the trick for far less money!!

I think this is the only truely dedicated forum for the 130/160 so you will get a ton of info here too!!!

I actually got my 2 AC-130's from GlobalMedia pro in Auckland...great company and been dealing with them for years!!

Hi Mastazero

If you were referring to my post I was simply greeting Rod onto the forum ...if it's something else you are talking about you might have to explain a little more??

Thanks Chris, after much investigation I stuck with A2Z over here. They are official Panasonic agents and having bought my gear from them before I know they offer great support. This is my first foray into non-shoulder mount but as most of my work has been tripod mounted and a smattering of steadicam pilot I reckon hand held time is probably one percent of what I do so let the fun begin!

I might be one of the first A series users too, so I will have a play with the apparent focus hunting problem and feed back any meanigful findings. Cheers! Rod
