SHORT: A 3-minute short film starring Hong Kong actress, JuJu Chan

Well shot, beautiful actress.

Biggest issues I had were the editing and the story. For the editing, all the fades prevented the story from getting any kind of flow. It also destroys any potential for tension in the piece.

And as for the story, I just don't get what you're trying to say. So this girl basically gives up her boyfriend who supposedly makes her happy just so she can have the shallow success of a model? Perhaps you are making a point of someone "following their dreams", but there is not enough time given in the piece for that to come across. Being as the story is almost non-existant, the character to me comes across as shallow and a liar (claiming she "misses" her boyfriend).

I really think for the piece to have fully worked, it needed to be at least 3-4 minutes longer.

On a completely unrelated note, that girl has one of the hottest tattoo's i've ever seen.

Thanks for the comment. The story has some serious problems to it and we had to 'rush' it because it was the only day we could film with the actress (I understand that these excuses count for nothing). There probably is too many fades to black, yes.

Pretty amazing for one day. Nicely shot. I didn't pay attention to the story, because it was boring, but I liked the light levels at which this was shot. The thing that put me off from the story immediately, was the revolting font used in titles - something you might see on the cover of those romance penny dreadfuls. Editing: a bit monotonous, was hoping for some timing and rhythm changes, but it was all pretty much languid flowy stuff. But again, for one day shooting, the cam work was impeccable and very impressive.
