90 minute FC of HVX HD footage---where do I put it?

This is a hypothetical.

I'm working on a feature right now...storing HD footage on various harddrives...

If eventually I manage to cut this thing into a 90 min finished product, (as planned) can I simply export the timeline burn it onto a DVD and have a nice looking end result? (not an HD DVD, but a DVD with great looking footage)

Or is there a much more advanced technique, which requires a better setup? (I have a basic computer, and I'm using external harddrives to store footage)
 
Well it depends what sort of DVD you mean. Sure you can make a 90 minute standard definition DVD from a DVCPROHD source that if done right will look great. But what sort of computer and software do you have?

Yep- that's what you could do. I think Encore makes BluRay as well- if you get a burner.

So a 90 minute cut of HD footage burned on to an SD DVD with encore will still look good?

Will the footage still look better than footage shot SD with the HVX?
