80i video?

There is no such thing -- there's 60i (regular NTSC video) and 50i (PAL video), then there's 1080i (high-def interlaced video). But I don't know what you mean by "80i"...

1080i is high-def interlaced video; look for clips from the Canon XLH1, XHA1, Sony V1U or Z1U or FX1 or FX7, or watch HD on CBS, NBC, PBS or Discovery and you'll see 1080i video there.

Viewing final HD product

After shooting HD footage on the latest generation of HD/V Cameras,
do you need a HD DVD Burner/ player to burn/view the finished product?? :Drogar-Love(DBG): :dankk2:

woo, bold text!

No you don't *need* a HD-DVD or Blue-Ray system to view your footage. However it is a convenient method for distribution and/or delivery.
You can always watch your footage back from the camera, or transfer/watch it on/from a computer using computer media. You can also one a range of higher end (professional) HD recoding systems such as DVCPRO-HD or HDcam Tape.

All you *need* is a HDTV/monitor.
