Does anyone have any experience with this product?
How good would a resolution of 1024x600 be for focusing on the XH-A1?
If its crap I will just save up about 500 more dollars and buy the SmallHD but for 350 this looks pretty tempting. Just not sure about the resolution.

Experience? Opinions?

You do know that's just the mainboard right and doesn't include the casing or battery?

For about $700 you can get the 089A model which is already assembled. I have one and it's very sharp, very easy to focus on. Manhattan LCD has an official thread in this section in which many people have given feedback, including me.

Yeah I was planning on making my own casing. Also was pretty sure there wasnt a battery so thats why I was leaning towards just buying either a Manhattan LCD or a SmallHD.
Trying to choose between them actually.

Im gonna go look for info on whether or not the Manhattan 089A model has a horizontal/vertical flip for when I get my Adapter.

Thanks for the info.

Yea, that's it. Lasts about 4 hours. There's also a battery plate option for Canon, Pana or Sony batteries.

Sorry to keep asking you so many questions so late at night. :lipsrseal

But thanks for convincing me to buy that monitor. I figured I can mount it upside down when I get my adapter.
By the way,
Why does this have the same exact name but look different?

that and the first image i sent you?

If they are different, would that BHphotovideo one work? It'll save me 75 dollars if so. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Also, if I purchase soley the monitor, does it come with the cables? Because it doesn't say the battery comes with the cables.

That's a pretty darn good questions. It look identical to me. Every other places sells the 3450i for $175 so that's pretty exciting news.

Which cable are you talking about? The monitor comes with an AC adapter and the battery comes with its own charger and cable to go into the monitor. Video cables aren't included.

Ok great, thanks. Time to add the 3450i to my wishlist on BHphotovideo.

It's hard to tell from the posts whether you know this or not, but that link to the battery at b&h is for the 3450-10, not the 3450. the -10 is the expansion battery that clips on to the 3450 and doubles its life.

I bought my 3450 as a bundle from a shop on ebay. 3450 AND a 3450-10, for $167 total. Pretty smokin deal, really. They have since raised the price to $180 for the combo, but thats still cheap compared to buying them solo.

Since the one charger charges both connected batteries, and the -10 comes with clips so the two link together as one, I treat it more like one super battery that i can split in half if size/weight requires it.

Of course, for power per $, that bescor battery belt is pretty amazing... if you dont mind wearing a battery belt.

Heh i don't know how I didn't notice!
If its too good to be true, it usually is hehe.
Thanks for the info floop!

Well since that isnt the battery pack but only an expansion; back to the idea of purchasing the LCD Kit on manhattanLCD
How would I know which batteries would work with that? Would this work with that LCD kit?

Also, if I were to purchase that kit what would I need to get it working? Im assuming a battery, and well, a case to mount it in.
Would that be all I need? If so i'm jumping on it and just DIY'ing the case etc.

It would, but the 3450 uses a button on the top to change voltage that also doubles as the button for checking battery level, so if you forget to lock the voltage setting, you might end up changing the voltage and frying the monitor. On the 3450 the voltage is changed using recessed dip switches that's nearly impossible to accidentally changed.

If you're not already invested in the Tekkeon batteries, the Dolgin solution looks pretty good. For $120 you can use your existing batteries or buy more relatively cheap. The only thing I don't like is that it looks like it'll increases the bulkiness of the monitor by having a big battery hanging out the back versus the flatter profile of the Tekkeon.

Ok would you happen to know exactly how easy it is to change it accidentally? Honestly I don't think I would check the battery level.
Can you just lock it like locking an ipod and just leave it forever pretty much?
