DOF tutorial for 35mm adapter users (20 min)

What do you mean? I've been waiting for this thing since you first started talking about it.

lol. Yea, me too! I'm still working on a new Snod35 design that will work as well with non-Sanko motors. For now though, I need to get back to making some shorts.

... it was going to show how to build your Snod35, wasn't it?

Yes. I did post a write-up and pics as to how I built the Snod35 (with the Sanko motor), but no DVD yet...

All the basic info is there, just not the detailed how-to steps.

Thanks Larry

Another vote of thanks. While I knew almost all of it from my 35mm photography days, there were small hints here and there at gaps in my 'memory' of how these things worked.

Very well presented.

I made this for a DVD that never happened. Should be helpful for those using or planning to use a 35mm adapter.

It is a bit slow paced, but the info is all there. If the subject is new to you, you might have to watch it a few times for it to "click".

Feedback always welcome :)

Depth-of-Field Tutorial

EDIT (5/15/2007):

The DVD mentioned above was for the Snod35 DIY DVD/kit. Currently, I am no longer planning on making the DVD/kits (you can read why at the link below). However, I have posted a write-up (with pictures) on my website as to how I built the original Snod35:

This is a valuable tutorial and I hope that a lot of newbies take the time to watch it. Thanks for sharing Justin, especially how to make an adapter that looks as cool as yours.

I just finished watching this. AWESOME lesson, I'm so happy that such important information is so easily accessible and understandable. THANKS!

Perfectly great, very informative.

Thanks for the new comments all. I just updated the first post by adding an older post that briefly discusses sensor size. Anyway, I though it was fitting to add it here.

I am new to the forum and new to HVX, I've found this really helpful. Thumbs all up for your works. Keep up all the great works and looking forward to seeing new stuff from you.
