I've seen a lot of posts that advocate buying a cheaper body and spending more on a great lens to use with it - to that end, I had thought I would buy a 7D an outfit it with a really nice Canon L series.
Then again, I've also read that I shouldn't waste my money on the 7D if I plan on going full frame eventually. But with a camera budget of ~$2500 (still got lights to worry about =[) I wouldn't be able to get a lens for the 5DMkII for a few months at least.
I've seen some pretty bad footage out of the 7D, mostly moire and aliasing. But can you really complain when you get 1080p at 24fps along with a pretty grim still camera for under $2000?
