7D+wireless receiver+Zoom H4N on-camera or on-person?

I know that the 7D isn't exactly ideal for run-and-gun shooting ... but when I have to really go small, I'm finding I can get enough with it. Dropping a mic and a wireless transmitter where I need to get sound, and sending the sound to a wireless receiver plugged into a Zoom H4N is working -- sometimes quite nicely. But it would be best if I could get the receiver and the H4N on-camera ... or even on my body, I guess.
Anyone working this way? Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Bradley

The way I've been doing it with events and shoots where I need to be mobile, I'm separated from the H4n and a transmitter, and have the reciever on top of the camera feeding in and monitoring through the headphone jack. That way the soundman can focus on getting the sound instead of getting in my way. If you don't have a soundman, I'd suggest keeping the zoom with you so you can properly monitor it
