7d Video Playback is Jerking Back and Forth!

I just got my Canon 7D - upgrade from 40D. WOW!

Ok, I think my 4GB card may be the problem but thought I would ask you experts. I looked through the first 2 pages of topics but didn't find quite the same problem I'm noticing.

Playback is nice on the camera. I'm using Aperature 3.0 and the video plays back with "hiccups". Same thing happens when I export and play directly through Quicktime. It doesn't seem to matter if I shoot @ 30 or 24.

Do you think that getting a 16GB card will correct it? I plan on getting the 16GB card anyway....

If playback is fine on the camera, the card is not the problem.

A higher capacity card is just that. Write speeds are what differentiate cards' abilities to store information successfully.

what's your computer specs?

I have an imac 2GHz Intel Core Duo wtih 2GB DDr2 SDRAM. I have a new imac on order.... yeah, perhaps I need the faster imac. I don't think that's the problem though... just tried playing it back on a macpro with faster specs (but no Intel core processor)
