7D PL mount: in the States!

"Reasonable price..." Kinda funny coming from the land of $25k primes.... And the 7D body is the cheapest, full sized Directors finder on the market!
 
Well, owning 25K primes and owning Camera accessories or mounts are two different things.

Just because the primes cost that much doesn't mean the mount for a 7D should or would be. They're rental items.

Only competition he has right now is Syndicate. Their offer breaks down as:

4K for one (1) New 7D and a PL mount mod, with 15mm Rod Supports.

So, the PL mount mod is like 2000 - 2300 or so.

If he charged 2K, along with being in the states, it would probably be fair in the eyes of most.

We'll see! Looking forward to hearing more, though.
 
Until Ilyas is available (probably another 30 days or so) you can rent mine here in Los Angeles for $40/hour (8 hour guarantee minimum) with a tech, 4 32gb udma cards, 4 batteries, HD-sdi box, and a Marshall lcd70p!

Haha. I dunno how well two-thousand is going to go over, but consider that it's a very slim market: I was on the verge of receiving two from Syndicate and changed my mind. Even though I've got plenty to do with them.

I can't imagine how many people would even consider buying just ONE at two-thousand, but, because there's so much that goes into it I think he probably has to charge that much.

If it happens to be anywhere near one-thousand or less he may have a hell of a time keeping up with demand, I'll tell ya that!

That's pretty cool. So it will accept all the Zeiss PL Mount Superspeeds and Cooke's and all that good stuff?
 
I like the looks of the Cinemods hopefully it will be cheap... but how did the get focus right with out removing the mirror????
 
A friend of mine told me that Panavision Hollywood found Canon eos to PL mount adapters. Apparently Panavision had them from an old panavision system to take stills with PL lenses.

I told him I thought it needed to be a hard mod and he said that he had seen them and they were not a hard mod.
