7D + old flash?

Hey all,

so I found one of my dad's old flashes for one of his film DSLRs, and it works with my 7D, but I'm just concerned about possible voltage/compatibility issues. I don't really know anything about flashes, but does anyone know if there's any danger to my 7D in using this old, non-Canon flash? It's a Star D D7000T.

Google is your friend - trigger voltage

Some old flashes do damage the camera with a high trigger voltage

but youve tried it and not fried it - you should be fine !
