Official Music Video for Babe Rainbow - Shaved

It was shot on a cannon 7D at 24p. We mostly used the EF-S 17mm - 55mm f2.8 zoom but had some primes as well.

hey Salazar,

first off, welcome to the boards. The video has some really nice images and you've used the 7D very well.

Be careful using the editor stabilizers. Especially with the 7D or any camera that provides skew, when you stabilize a shot and there is already skew present, it just shakes the image in a weird way.

And i have to be honest. I'm a minute and thirty seconds in and i had to stop. Seeing the same thing over and over again doesn't do much for entertainment sake. No way to shake it up a little bit?

That was awesome - I really enjoyed it.

Good little story and the look was terrific -congrats, an excellent video.

thats the great thing about film, different tastes for different people. We don't make things that compromise to appeal to as many people as possible. For us it's about creating projects that make us and our clients happy, which we achieved with this one.

I'm sure you'll find something on our site that you like

ive seen alot of your videos posted a blog called booooom.

i love the lifetime one and wizard smoke. both i send around links to people.

hi. loved the video. it fitted the music perfectly and the world of warp records whilst still being original. i'm a great fan of doppelgangers in films too!
i thought the colours were superb. what settings did you use in camera? i imagine the image was graded in Magic Bullet or something similar in post.
you mentioned in the vimeo thread that you shot up to 2000iso. did you suffer from a lot of noise?
i have a 7D , whilst i haven't had a chance to use it much, what i have noticed is a lot of noise in the images so i'm interested to know how others are achieving such clean images.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you used the word doppelganger as that was what we were going for. We timed the footage using Color out of FCP 6. For the most part though the raw footage pretty much looked exactly like the finished product. We didn't do extensive color correction.

We found the noise at 2000 ISO to be ok for our application. When shooting high ISO I find the noise to be less visible if something in the frame is at least properly exposed. When your badly underexposing then the noise becomes unbearable.

we love booooooom.com it's a great blog!!!

i also wanted to say that i checked out your website. you've got some great work there. i normally find skate videos to be really boring but thoroughly enjoyed wizard smoke. an excellent idea beautifully executed. i'll be keeping an eye out for future work
