Okay I tried to do a search on this because I'm sure it's been covered, but the search function seems to be malfunctioning tonight.

Is there anyway to adjust the amount of time the camera stays in movie mode (without recording) before it kicks you out of movie mode? I've looked in the manual, but there is either no way to adjust it or I'm completely missing it in the manual. I've found the standby setting for the camera itself, but nothing for the movie mode.

Standby takes you out of live view and shuts down the camera. Set it to the time you want it or turn it off for having the camera and movie mode on all the time.

If you use your custom settings just set the time and register the preset and then you don't have to worry about it anymore. I keep mine at 30 min because standby kept pissing me off.
