7D Mountain Bike Edit

Dude this is dope. I can tell you put some real thought into a lot of these shots with different lens choices and creative angles. The fisheye on the donut run really popped out at me.

That was really well shot. You have a good eye for fast action. Would be cool to see some POV shots up in there.

Thanks! I would have liked to get some POV shots too but the Go Pro is just too shitty. It looks like ass when coupled with the 7D. I might try and rig up a legit 7D helmet cam but that's a little sketchy haha.

Real good stuff! A few questions:

shot sequence from 0:45 to 0:59 - how are you doing the left-to-right camera move? looks like you are running with the camera and using stabilization in post.
aerial shot at 1:33 - how'd you get this one? are you on the chair lift at the park?
lenses - looks like you are using a 70-200 f/4L IS? What other lenses are you using?

Nice work!

Thanks!
That was shot out of the back of a truck on a shady dirt road, stabilized in post.

Yeah that was from the chairlift. Timing was a little hard to set up but it turned out pretty good.

Lenses are: Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 non-is, Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, Canon 35mm f/2, Canon 50mm f/1.8, Sigma 10mm Fisheye.

Glad you liked it!

The one thing that would have made this thing 'pro' and worthy of some serious airtime at bike events, is the natural sound the bikes make. The whizzing of the chain, the dirt sliding, the wheels hitting all those surfaces, with that sound, and those images you already have, you would be in a REALLY nice class of your own.

Great visuals, looking forward to more on the audio side if you want to get to that 'pro' level. (and your current audio mic can get that sound, so just go out there with what you got and catch those sounds to layer into the mix. If you want, you would then get really great results)
