7D 7D mkII 4K recording?

Remember that dual pixel AF debuted in the 70D…their consumer camera and then made its way to the C100.
Rumor has it that the photographers using the 7DII at World Cup have been raving about the sensor. Not saying that it's "a little better" but that it's revolutionary. What would that mean? Massive DR? I'm looking forward to seeing this one come out.

We know that Canon can deliver if they want to.

The question is how quickly we get trickle down,

Within a large company like Canon, the demand is to maintain market leading sales and sales volume across every class of product.

All true. Canon will always be last to join the party. Another element that allows them to buy time is the huge selection of lenses out there that are mainly dedicated to Canon camera bodies. Investing is a collection of expensive quality lenses keeps customers brand loyal much more than the name.
That is if you have time to wait. I just picked up a new client and it will have to be all shot 4K. That starts this year so there won't be time to wait for Canon. It has to be a realible product for remote locations. The GH-4 is looking like the best solution because they are cheap enough to buy 2 or 3 bodies. I have been shooting Canon for 5 years now, but I may have to move on.

Same here. I really cant imagine what the 7DII will offer to compete with the SONY a7s for example (I believe it will be around the same price). The only thing I will personally miss is the dual AF which I really love on my 70D. We ll see...may be for once...Canon will surprise us!
