7D in action in a classroom setting ...

Dan...is it possible to let us download this footage? I'm liking what I see on Vimeo and really would like to see the original file. Good stuff.

Also, how the heck did it come out so sharp? What lens? Settings?

Footage goes in Footage Sub Forum.

What are you doing for white balance? I'm noticing a lot of skin tones are way off in most videos and I'm not sure if people just aren't white balancing or if it's color temp in the room being mixed in an odd way?

The orangeish-yellowish casts and then the pinkish-sherbert hues that I'm seeing all over the place are odd.

white balanced at 5100 ... they shot RED as an A-cam and they looked the SAME pretty much in the monitor ... it's how they wanted it to look ! i personally like it ! it's a video, suspend your reality !

I really like the exposure/lift on the blacks... gives it a sort of SI-2K look.. Nice movements!

I recognized the girl from Zak F's videos in there...

Yea good work not sure what Kholl is talking about, maybe he wants the tones to be more in the neutral are (more low red less orange), but it's not like that's the standard and everything must look at way.

Overall the clip flowed, and there was no jarring (though I only looked once).

That's exactly what I'm talking about. But you're right: it's not the standard for skin to look like skin; my bad.

Dan, Since you are saying that it's the footage straight from the cam, it would be nice if you could elaborate a bit more on the picture settings used, as well as the lenses used. Thanks for sharing.

Kholl wasn't trying to put down your statement just saying if it was for a motion picture of he was doing a skin care commercial it would matter greatly that's what I meant by standard.

I guess from you stand point we should always shoot for the best and be consistent across the board.

That's exactly what I was thinking, it took me until the second shot of her to remember what other film she was in.
