7D/HVX201 NightLights (warning contains moderate male/female nudity)

Hi all,

This is a rough cut that I've put together of a 3 minute short I've been working on. The aim of this piece was to create a film that was more like a painting, with no narrative but an open interpretation to what the characters are going through to the words of "With or Without You". The grade's a little out in places and will be fine tuned and the track is an mp3 so it clips from time to time.


Key points I'd be interested to hear feedback on are firstly is it working as it is?

Originally we intended for their to be a voice over from the mans perspective, watching through the edit I'm wondering if the actors expressions are saying more than words could?

Does the grade feel to warm and contrasty?

Is the song working or is it to much in places? It will be going into the studio in a couple of weeks for composition but this piece captured the moment for me personally and is presently what I'm planning to use as a reference piece for the composer.

Thanks Justin. I think that's a fair comment as presently it is unjustified and serves no purpose without a narrative to bring meaning to it.
