7D + HPX300 at 720/30p

Sorry if this has been covered before...

For an upcoming shoot I plan on using my HPX300 as the A camera, and my 7D as the B camera. I'd like to shoot my HPX in 720/30p. I know that the 7D records 720 at 60p.

So....my questions are:
Can I convert the 60p 7D footage using Streamclip or Cinema tools to 30P?
Will there be any audio sync issues?
Any other issues to be aware of?

I would just shoot it in 1080 30p and down-res it to 720 30p.

It might look a little too "live- motion" if you 60p-30p, but maybe not do some tests. Audio should be fine.
