7D footage of Castle Carnevale, Jamestown NC

[Rick Burnett]

Here is some night footage of the Castle Carnevale festival in Jamestown, NC. There were two of us filming both with a 7D camera.

I used a Sigma 30mm F1.4 lens. The other operator, Micah Moore, used a Canon 10mm-22mm Zoom, 50mm F2.0 Macro and the stock lens.

Most footage shot at 1080p/24 except slow motion shots done at 720p/60 and conformed to 24p in Final Cut Pro.

Editing done by Micah Moore.

Basically, just pushing the camera as much as we could to see what we could get out of it.

Looked like a good time. The fire performers are awesome.

Was an absolute blast. Just wish it had been warmer than 32 degrees out! I would have had even more coverage.

One thing I was amazed by, the length of time the battery works on the 7D. I had it on constantly for 3 hours straight and the battery never died.
