Hey I didn't see this posted anywhere (although I saw Ian in the comments ha) but these guys did a film out test with the 7d. This is the same post house that posted the Rodney Charters Red/7d/5d shootout. Here it is:

edit: whoops for some reason I thought it was a digitized version of the print but I think it was just a straight digital copy. oh well. that would explain why it didn't really look too different. I thought they just tried to keep the grain to a minimum or something.

The footage looks very good. Boy oh boy, though, the camera did not like the flickering firelight on the females. It did not look bad on the two guys on around the fire. What I don't understand is that I have seen clips posted that show a lot of skew with moving shots, but if you look at the PCH out the window shot, I don't see it. There is a stutter, for sure, but why is there not the skew distortion? It looked like they were at a relatively high shutter speed. So is that the choice, high shutter speed stutter vs. skew?

I also loved the Santa Monica shots. For the LA types... did they use a fog filter, or is the light from the amusement park diffused by just passing through the air ya'll breathe?
