7D Availability News (POST ANY AND ALL UPDATES HERE ONLY)

10/5: Walked into Pictureline (Downtown SLC - Pictureline.com) and walked out with a 7D Kit (18-135, filter, extra battery) for 1999.00.

The Best Buys here in Durham & Raleigh say the same thing. On order but not in transit. I've been calling frequently to check.

Same here :\, TD really dropped the ball for me. I have a friend who already got 2 bodies from his preorder....jealously is definitely what im feeling now

Found a 7D Kit at Best Buy in Phoenix on 10-7. Both stores I called had two kits available but no body only. When I arrived at the store only one was left. Amazingly I was able to convince to sales person to apply a 10% off coupon that I had found on a google search despite the fact that it appeared to have expired.

Go ahead and gloat over your prime rib whilst we starve down here in Tucson town. :D:D

I got the email from Best Buy saying I needed to call them to have my card validated again. I had them conference call me with the card people and after 10 minutes finally got everything straightened out. For whatever reason, my status has changed from:

"release date 10/11"

to: "Status: 1 item(s) - Order in process of being fulfilled; Usually ships in 1 - 2 days."

I hope I didn't get pushed to the back of the line even though the woman on the phone assured me I didn't.
