Yea I am probably just being paranoid, my nerves are fried from all of this camera chasing
 
Not to add to the paranoia but I just spoke to J&R and they had 3 left and said even if I ordered right now, due to online ordering, phones, etc, they could not guarantee it would be shipped today and not backlisted. This is as of about 15 minutes ago so I'm sure they are gone now...
 
I can understand that if they only had 3 left. Also, they do say it will ship in 1-2 days so it has not even been a day yet for me. Come Friday and it has not shipped, then ...

I called J&R, was completely scammed, they said it was on backorder. I cancelled. I ordered early this morning. Unbelievable! I am so pisssed!

Gotta admit some of these posts are making me feel uneasy. I plan to call them back mid-afternoon and see what the status is on my order.

Woah! I ordered this morning too... Sounds like a bait and switch to me. That's some bullstuff. I can understand if they are being bombarded by orders, but why doesn't their system deduct the amount available when it's ordered, both online and over the phone?

I ordered 9:30 this morning, I am so pissed. This camera buying thing is so cutthroat, I am amazed. I don't know what to do, I placed an order at Service Photo, they only had 1 or 2 left, so hopefully this one goes well. Otherwise I might just forget about buying a camera right now due to aggravation. I want my life back already.

Ordered mine from J&R last night, UPS one day shipping for $35. Can't beat it. Will have it in my hand tomorrow, just in time for some testing and then some commercial shoots early next week.
 
Service Photo has confirmed they will ship it today, they are so close that I will probably get it tomorrow. Sounds like they will be getting future business from me too.

I am also really starting to respect places like B&H, they never made any misleading claims, you pay them and get the merchandise when it is available. Even though their pop up announcements are annoying :)

Talked to my salesman at J&R at 11:30AM (PST) today, he said again I'll have it by Friday...

Can't believe I'm posting something that requires a reference to time zones...
 
Just got off the phone with JR.

Sent my order in @ 8pm last night. At the time they said it was "in stock".

When I spoke to the young lady just now on the phone, she confirmed that the payment had cleared, but that because of high demand, she wasn't sure if there was one to ship.

Needless to say I was a bit miffed and informed her that when I ordered it said it was "in stock" and I EXPECTED it to ship and had upgraded two 2 day shipping to ensure I got it Friday.

I am not confident I will get it.

Grrrrrrr.
