I'm sure you could easily convert files to work with that player, if they don't play right out of the camera.

Sorry, I didn't mean right out of the camera.

What I'm hoping is that it'll play the 7d clips off a USB drive (w/o having to transcode.)

I'm sure it would according to its spec:

Video Compression: MPEG1/2/4, RM/RMVB, VC-1, H.264
Video File Extension: .MP4, .MOV, .XVID, .AVI, .DIVX, .ASF, .WMV, .MKV, .RM, .RMVB, .FLV, .TS, .M2TS, .DAT, .MPG, .VOB
Audio: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, AIFF
Image: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF
Subtitle: SRT, SUB, SMI, SSA

I got one too. Thanks for offering to beta test.

I was hoping for it to work with native 7d Files and it does which is cool. I'm happy with it so far. The only files I've found it won't play are HVX P2 files and FCP quicktime exports.
