7d and Sennheiser EWG3100?

I'm starting to shoot on the 7d and 60d and wondering if there is a way to plug a sennheiser lav receiver directly into the camera. Any thoughts?

Yes, the Sennheiser Wireless ENG mics come with a minijack for that type of input.

Will I be able to feed the audio from the Sennheiser to the 7d via a 1/8 inch to 1/8 inch cord?

Yes, when you buy the Sennheiser setup, the receiver will come with 2 cables, a 1/8" to 1/8" and a 1/8" to XLR. The 1/8" connector on the side that goes to the wireless unit has a threaded cap on it so that when the cable goes in, it screws in and locks. The Sennheiser packages also come with a hotshoe adapter so you can mount hte wireless receiver directly to the top of your camera. It just slides into the hotshoe mount. The receiver also has a gain / volume control to obtain "harmony" between the output of the wireless unit and the input of the camera. Harmony means that the output gain on the wireless is matched with the input gain on the camera.
