7D and First Light.

I have used cineform now for a couple years.
I have been looking for a color curve that I like, and am finding most are too strong.
I don't want a totally washed out look in case I need to show that to someone.
I just don't feel like explaining it all to the lay person.

In any case, I wanted to try some grading without the whole render thing.
I guess I am lazy.

For the first time, I brought the footage into first light (since I already have cineform).
I guess what amazed me the most was that this color grading works real time.

When I say real time, I mean, you click the setting and it's changed.
You do a lift and it is brighter as soon as you let go of the slider.
Then you can save the color grade and apply it to any other footage that you shot.

What is best is it doesn't actually alter your source, but does so in like a layer, so everything can be undone as easy as it was done.

Was this a dream or is this really how this works?
How come no one is talking about this?

I tried the trial, and like its functions. The problem I had with it was that I couldn't get it to play more than 3 minutes of footage without locking up.
