7D Aerial Photography

This is mostly unedited Aerial clips all shot with the 7D.

No story, no point to it, just some aerial footage that I shot for a recent project.

It was a lot of fun shooting it.

I did have a polarizer. Unfortunately we got started about an hour later than I wanted so it was very bright out, so even with a polarizer it was still about f/16.

I never, [rarely if ever] shoot 720P60, I really don't like how it looks. I generally shoot 1080P30 and conform it to 23.98, that slows it down just 20% and smoothes it out nicely. I also just hang the camera on a bungee cord which takes up most of the vibration and steady's the shot. I did use SteadyCam on about half of these shots to see how well it worked. I was pleasantly suprised how well it worked but on the shots where I used it you can see the occasional shudder or "jello."

This valley really needs to be shot in the spring when its green.

OK, here's how you do it, you buy your wife a horse [with me so far?] then after she's had it for fifteen or so years you point at it and say, "you got one of those, I'm getting one of these!"

Believe me, it seems like a bargain. That's if you live in Southern California where people pay ridiculous amounts of money to buy and keep horses...
