7d +5d Music Video . (7 person crew 2 days)

very nice :) luved the colour and all the flares.

I think you could have used a shouldermount on some of the handheld though. thats about it...luved the shots especially the one at sunset with her head out the car.

I really enjoyed this! It was shot beautifully and had a lot of great scenes. Loved the underwater stuff, what did you put the camera in?

thanks guys. I agree with ya about the shoulder amount. We wanted a unproduced feel and wanted some shaky ish stuff ( as if her friends were filming her on a road trip, but I think at times it was a but too shaky) I own a steadicam, but steadicam was too smooth for what we wanted

For the underwater shots I used a EWA-MARINE U AXP underwater housing unit.

you can see it in the behind the scenes video

yeh i feel you on the shaky feel and a steadicam would def be 2 smooth. i think the shouldermount would get u right in between just having the cam and the steadycam. it would give u that nice shakey but non jitter movement. the shakiness wasnt really the prob its the dslr jitter. its such a good video that i wish that didnt give it away as dslr. :)

i want get so good with these things that people dont even ask( or know) what cam it was shot on...just accept it cuz its a good vid :)

totally I agree shoulder rig is the right about of shaky to feel natural, but without getting a little sick haha

I love these cameras. they are a totally game changer

Im hoping to help this new artist getting started and I also have my own selfish reasons, but
if you guys wanna share they video with people I wont be upset :)

Amazing job. I think it was the right call to have those shaky shots. The adventurous feel of the trip came through to me. There were a couple of focusing issues that were distracting.

Good job shooting this Nathan. I also think it was a good idea to leave out the steadycam...it gave this sort of an authentic feel...if you know what I mean. I also liked the underwater shots....cool stuff.

Nice job, Nathan.

Just noticed you're in Oklahoma too. If you'd like to collaborate on something in the future, hit me up. I have a 7D, some nice lenses, Arri lights, and a few more toys.

Nice work! I really dig the Laissez-faire style and thought the images and editing all looked great!

What is Laissez-faire style? anyone ? lol

"Laissez Faire attitude is basically built on the terms of non-interference. It is often used to refer to a system of government which upholds autonomous character of economic order. It believes that the government should intervene as little as possible in the affairs of the economy.

On the other hand, in normal social terms, it is the practice of non-interference in the affairs of other people. So everyone has a freedom of action."

Basically it means to let things go - not to interfere, and in this sense I think the poster means that you let the subject do the "talking", so to speak.
