I am trying to produce a 24P DVD in DVD Studio Pro. With footage from my HVX 200A recorded in 720p24PN I am using compressor in FC studio to encode MPEG-2 at 23.98fps which was my editing timeline in FCP. The encoded m2v file when imported into DVD studio Pro shows a video rate of 29.97. The manual says this is how it will display but to confirm it's actually 24fps click the asset and view it in the asset inspector. When I do this, it also shows 29.97 and not 24fps. I used the easy setup for 720p60P (which is all the drop down offered for DVCPRO-HD 720P) but then in the compression screen was able to select 720p24p (no option for NATIVE). I am quite sure the video plays back correctly at 24fps in FCP and even looks good on the burned DVD (film-like) but still shows as 29.97. Using the latest versions of FC studio for PPC mac 6.06 and latest updates to camera, etc. What am I doing wrong?
