I accidently shot some footage at 24p instead of 24pN this would be the first time i have made the mistake and need to standardize it with other clips at 24. I did some research and no to do a 2:3:2:3 pulldown you have to use Cinema Tools. Problem being after Logging the footage into FCP the Vid Rate is 59.94 and Cinema Tools will not do a reverse telecine citing "NOT an NTSC format"... Any experience from some more experience members.

THE STATS
I have footage shot 720p 24p.
Final Cut is 6.0.4.
Vid rate of converted footage is 59.94 fps.
Remove Advanced Pulldown and Duplicate Frames is checked off (though when checked on I get 23.94 rate but always heard FCP couldn't do it accurately so i'm worried about quality loss)

It's become clear to me now, that the reason Cinema Tools is having an issue is the clip needs to be 29.97. Is there away to affect that when logging and transfering. OR, perhaps, do i need to convert each file.

My concern is this a flawless workflow to perserve quality. What's the best way to convert 59.94 footage to 29.97
IS it a better solution than this?

Lastly, is this going to be better quality than simply pressing the remove duplicate frame box in log and transfer?
