720p or 720pn

I understand the technical difference between 720p and 720pn. But is it a difference in quality/looks? It has to be ok to mix for instance slomo pictures (720p) with material shot in 720pn, or have I missed something?

I you have compatible editing system with 720pn, I think you always just need to use native format.

You would be able to record longer, don't have to remove the pulldown frames, and also you can take advantage of variable frames. Just be careful when you use variable frames that any frame rate other than the frame format that you set it up, say 720/24pn then any camera frame rate other than 24frame won't record audio but you can take advantage of over cranking and under cranking.
