720 60p Workflow...Am I on the right track?

Mass confusion on my part, but have been reading everywhere, and watching people's video samples and getting advice. I'm leaning towards shooting our weddings in 720 60p to make for smooth slow-mo and for a smoother downconvert to DVD. (Based on what I've read--correct if anything is wrong!) So if I understand correctly, my FCP workfow would be this:

Shoot everything in 720 60p

Import / Transcode everything in 720 60p (apple pro res)

Edit on a 720 60p (59.94) Sequence Setup

Choose which shots I want slow motion -- conform just those shots to 24p in Cinema Tools (do I use the apple pro res files to do this??)

Drop the new conformed clips into my 59.94 timeline?? this is where I get confused.

So far, are my steps correct? And what about going to DVD Studio Pro? Is 60p a frame rate even supported for that, or will compressor automatically compensate? And, right now we are only delivering on DVD, but eventually will be doing BluRay as well...would this workflow/format be supported for that??? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Well, i've ventured away from Final Cut so I can't tell you for sure...But in Premiere, I just drop my files into a 720/60p timeline and change the speed to slow it down. It looks beautifully slow!

I'm going out on a limb here, but im guessing your shooting with a GH2?
Well in any case, this flow seems fine. I prefer the information overload and shoot with 1080p or even 1080 i60, which you can slow down decently.
With most of my wedding edits I use slow motion for "some" of the overall package, but find I dont use it as much as I "think" I will... if that makes sense.

I've covered some pretty exotic weddings, and havent used slow motion all that much. But who knows... I'm liking Twixtor a lot these days :P

1 other thing, I usually have a few custom presets settings where i've set the video at 720p so I have fast access to slow motion settings between my 1080 flow.
