720 25p and 25pN (very newbie question)

Hello. I did some searching but just want to get something clear before I start a project..

If I shoot in 720 25p and also 720 25pN and import the footage to FCP6 through 'log and transfer' the different formats will become exactly the same once they arrive in a project because while importing 25p the duplicate frames will be removed?(if I have that option checked)

To be clear: is 720 25p exactly the same as 720 25pN except for the duplicate frames?

On 25pN I haven't tested FCP in a while you might still new P2 Log for proper ingest, but your theory is correct. I'd shoot some tests to be sure.
