720 24/60 Jerky

I recently let my friend borrow my 170 to shoot an event that my friends and I were hosting and I told him to shoot in 720p/24pn. However, he shot in 720p/24p. Now I am having all kinds of problems getting the footage onto my computer in a viewable way.

The footage is jerky and audio cuts out about 2/3s of the way through the clip. I'm pretty sure this is a pulldown issue but since I have never shot 24 over 60 (was told there was no need to) I am unaware of the workflow (I use final cut pro). Anyone know what capture settings I should be using? Is there a box unchecked somewhere? Maybe even a step-by-step guide? The footage is fine when played back through the camera.

Thanks for the help guys...

You should just L&T it as normal 720/60p. Should then play fine. If you want to get to native 24p, then I believe you can do it in Cinema Tools after you've transferred.

So I unchecked remove pulldown and just brought it in at 720 60. In the future I'll make sure he shoots native as this was quite the hassle. Thanks for the tips gang!
