70D - Lens AF tests for AF focus noise - 9 lenses tested

Good evening.
Recently purchased a Canon 70d, and I love the AF ability in video mode.
While the kit lenses (18-55 and 18-135 STM) are sharp, I was curious how my other lenses would fare for audio noise in video mode.
All tests are done with 3 targets; a basket, jack o' lantern and a wall poster.
The closest target is the basket, which was about 3 feet from the camera. The jack o' lantern was about 5 feet further away, and the wall an

additional 12 feet behind that.
On the 135/F2 I only used the 2nd and 3rd targets.

Also, there are 2 tests here: first is with onboard sound, 2nd with a Zoom H1 + Deadcat mounted on the hotshoe. Volume set to 50 on the camera and

Zoom. Attenuator was off.

Tested in order were:

1) Sigma 17-50 2.8 OS HSM
2) Sigma 30mm 1.4 HSM "Art" series
3) Tamron 24-70 2.8 VC USD
4) Canon 24mm 2.8 IS
5) Canon 18-55 STM
6) Canon 18-135 STM
7) Canon 85mm 1.8
8) Canon 70-200 II IS USM
9) Canon 135mm F/2

Each video was shot in a dead quiet room (no kids, no furnace running, no noisy computers).

Each video will have two parts that show onboard audio vs. Zoom h1 shoe mounted. Except for the 18-135 test, as that lens is very quiet already.

Hey Shawn, how well does the Tamron 24-70 2.8 VC USD autofocus? I have the Canon 24-70 (version 1) and it hunts like crazy. If there's anyway you could post the Tamron video by the end of the weekend, I'd really appreciate it.
