70D and Stabilizer in Auto Focus, Which Wide Lens?

I am shopping for a wide lens to use with a steadicam stabilizer for live events and want something that would do well utilizing the auto focus feature on the 70D. I would prefer a light prime lens instead of a zoom. This would be for both outdoor and indoor use. Which ones do you recommend?

Sounds to me like you're in the market for the bargain-priced and tiny 24mm.

I do plan on getting the 24mm stm but need something a little wider, thinking about the 10-18mm stm but would would prefer a prime, it's important though that it has good continuous auto focus

Tamron 11-16 works perfectly, and its not too heavy.

Yes he means Tokina. I also own and love that lens, even though it's wider than I generally like to shoot.

The Tokina is a nice lens with 2.8 but it's almost 2lbs, steadicams without vest can get exhausting and would love something under a pound. The canon stm 24mm weight is perfect and plan on getting it but would like something alongside a tad wider closer to 18mm.
