Hi all,

Recently I entered a film competition that took place over 7 days. We had 7 days to make a 3-5 minute film that included a designated genre, prop, and line of dialogue.

Here was our submission. It won the Best Acting award, The Founders Award and Viewers choice.
The whole thing was shot on a 7D.

Thanks!

yes, they definitely could. This was the version that we entered the competition so we plan on making another cut with better sound and different edits.

Sorry, but that was bad :o And you got 7 days! Makes me wonder how bad the other films were, if that won something. Videos they make in 48 hour film project are usually way better than that, with 5 days less time to do it. Your film was nerdy, idea was 100% from Watchmen, subject was too large to fit in 5 minutes and acting made you feel shared sense of shame. And the look of the film was so boring, not an one bit of originality.

If this was your first film the quality is understandable. I hope your team really watch more movies and tries to involve some originality in characters or story. Cinematography needs also a huge improvement to be acceptable. Think outside of the box, don't just put camera there and press rec button, try things, try something different.
