7-14mm price drop on Amazon

I understand that if a full size 35mm lens (I.e. Canon EF/Nikon FX) is used, you multiply by a 2x crop factor to get the 35mm equivalency.

What about when it is a Micro 4/3 lens going on to the Micro 4/3 imager mount as would be the case with this lens? Is it equivalent to a 7-14mm Canon EF lens on a 35mm lens scale?

focal length doesn't change on any lens - FOV does depending on sensor size. So to get the same FOV as what you are used to on Full Frame 35mm, same x2 applies here.

Wow. That price makes it quite reasonable! I think Barry, Bloom et. al. really liked this lens.
I totally love mine (even if it cost me $174 more than you folks can buy it for now!) It's a special-purpose lens, but it is astonishingly wide, and it's smooth, and it can make arty shots or wide rectilinear shots.

You do have to watch out for the corners though; as a rectilinear the corners get very "stretchy".

Just did a shoot in a very small virtual reality lab where it would have been impossible to get the whole scene without this lens. Like Barry, I paid lots more than this price just a few weeks ago (damn) . But it was worth every penny then and is somewhat of a steal at this price now. There's simply nothing else like it.
